Olympics are a fascinating plane of existence. All the American women have deformed, over-plucked eyebrows. All the Russian women have malnutrition all over them and deep resentment of having to be rewarded yet again. So much forced emotion, so much pain, jealousy, broken childhoods... Humans are great. Seriously. Only us could invent and have put such collosal amount of energy into such a worthless of a thing. People put their lifes in stake for what... a jump? It's an unimaginable achievement, I dont argue with that, but are we so bored that we need to put all that potential, determination, and talent into swinging on bars? C'mon. The worst thing is that they do it at the cost of their minds. Khorkina can use her tangled body in ways I didnt think possible, but she cant put two words together. It's tragic. Body is a battery for the mind. It's an anchor for the mind. It's a machine to feed our brains. It's a way, it's not the goal.
I think I'm going to piss my TOK teacher completely off, by the end of this year, with my promotion of logic. I'm fixed. I seem to find my fight, my battle agaisnt illogic. Against senseless pursuit of questionable goals. Against a waste of own mind to emotions. It's a fight against my own weaknesses too. Every time I want to choose the easy way, every time I want to fall into the trap of feeling instead of thinking - I have to stop, slap myself mentally, and go on. It's hopeless, but I like it.
Sleep now.
